Fighting Extinction

Fighting Extinction

SYNOPSIS:

Of the 116,177 species assessed by the IUCN, 31,030 are threatened with extinction, an ecological threat never before seen in human existence. Deeply alarmed, scientists, organizations, and wildlife activists are dedicating their lives to preserving the web of life, where the survival of each species, including humans, is interdependent.

"Fighting Extinction" explores some of the most promising and innovative conservation methods to reverse this trend - from raising baby giant tortoises in the wilds of the Galápagos Islands, to searching for the rare black rhinoceros in the savannah of Africa, and teaching orphaned Orangutans how to survive on their own in the jungles of Indonesia. Showing how species extinctions of the past can help us prevent similar disasters today, transporting audiences to the most stunning and wild locations around the world for an unforgettable and inspiring giant screen experience.
